I've just arrived in the BIG APPLE and I feel GREAT!...but wait no time for gazing....I'm off to watch my nephews train...they are high performance tennis players in the junior league at the prestigious Centercourt- Athletic Club of Chatham. Today my&amp;nbsp;dehydrator&amp;nbsp;arrived!! Yayyy....The box was huge! and I opened it with a huge smile on my face....however I was so surprised at the weight...as I pulled it out the box, I realised that actually it looks real heavy but it was surprisingly light ....incidentally I did have to re-arrange the kitchen slightly to make room as its unashamedly huge!!&lt;br /&gt;I'm so thrilled and excited to make my own dehydrated goodies; for myself and for others.&lt;br /&gt;My raw food kitchen is now fully equipped!&lt;br /&gt;I've always said START WHERE YOUR AT!! The most important thing is that you start to add more raw foods into your diet TODAY!..You don't necessarily need all these fancy&amp;nbsp;gadgets. I've been eating raw for almost 5 years and managed just fine for 4 years on my old blender, and my mums old food&amp;nbsp;processor. However I did spend some money on my Breville juicer. I started making juices for my entire family and they loved it, and so they all chipped in. :-)&lt;br /&gt;Apart from that anyone can manage to eat raw without big expensive&amp;nbsp;gadgets. Freeze for a minimum of 3 hours. This addition has  improved my  health,  my energy levels and my overall  well-being.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: black;"&gt;Eating foods as close to the way God created them for optimum health - it just makes sense.&lt;/span&gt;  Ive been slowly increasing the amount of raw foods into my diet over  the last year. Smoothies and juices and salads were a given for a couple  of years now; but Ive truly never felt so good as when I'm eating high  raw. So now my diet is about 60 per cent raw.&lt;br /&gt;I don't consider this a diet...when I use this term I use it quite  liberally because I don't want it to imply any type of sacrifice that  has to be undertaken. Eating raw has nothing to do with giving ANYTHING  up, in fact its all about letting the goodness IN!! Ive been making all manner of things raw...and having a blast! Russell has a great way of braking things down into bite size pieces (pardon the pun) parceled into easily digestible nuggets of wisdom!! He is truly gifted and makes everything he creates look absolutely divine!&lt;br /&gt;I'm experimenting with making raw cakes at the moment..playing around with different flavours and they are GOOD! just need to get them looking a tad more presentable and they will be flying out of the fridge. Infact, I feel much more intune with my body than Ive been in a long while. I love this feeling. &lt;br /&gt;Since the JF Ive been more or less following the same flow of Green smoothie for brekkie and lunch, or sometimes a superfood smoothie for lunch and dinner a raw soup or salad. Twice a week I'll have a lightly steamed dinner of wholefoods usually Quinoa or squash or sweet potato....with a raw salad or veg.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I certainly feel much different now to that when I was juice-feasting! ...well, for starters I feel heavier for the obvious reason that I'm eating and Ive managed to put on a few more pounds although I have faith that my body will balance the weight out within 3 months. I'm not in a rush with it, its more important for me to feel great within myself, and the rest is peanuts! and by that I mean to feel fully nurtured, alive, sleeping right, balanced moods, energetic, powerful digestion, and to be grateful!.... :-). Ive also gotton real organised with my office and have been so creative in the kitchen!...I will post up some pics of recent developements there!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;None of my friends eat this way but..they will...joke....I just want to be the change that I want see in this world and can hopefully encourage others to do the same in whatever way they shine! Today is day 7 and its going really well. The recipes make really delicious meals and I still dont feel any real intense hunger. Since doing my 3rd JuiceFeast my body now responds a little different to hunger. Intrinsically the body craves nutrition and not specific junk foods. So we will receive the message or signal that we are hungry...and in most cases we are just thirsty! (Which is a whole other story)!&lt;br /&gt;To the best of my knowledge since the JuiceFeast I've had all if not most of my nutritional needs met. So far Ive not craved for a single food type in particular. :-) I plan on seriously introducing more raw foods into my diet and having a high raw one at that!&lt;br /&gt;I'm working on a new web-site, and will continue my classes very soon. At first I thought this was due to me getting older, developing bad habits, etc. Now, I'm sure its the classic 'onion peeling effect' that happens to you once you start any detox for an extended period of time. If you are like me and are always looking for positive growth and want to learn something new about yourself and the environment, then you will understand completely what I am saying.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;I made my goals clear to myself at the outset of my Juice Feast. I wrote them down and even hung them in parts of the house where I would see them daily. Just to spur me on. It is imperative  that you really know the reason(s) why you are doing what your  doing! Ensure that your reasons speak directly to the center of your  heart..and truly ask and ask again. So when your emotions do come up for  you, you will be in a place to acknowledge them and fully appreciate that they are &lt;i&gt;yours&lt;/i&gt;! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;i&gt;&lt;b&gt;The Emotional Detox....&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/i&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is the most important thing you need to know!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When you start to eat raw, you will FEEL better on every level. Your heart and mind opens up to the universe; but on the other side of the coin you will often find yourself sitting back, watching your life on the big screen and the truth is that you are! You actually SEE very clearly exactly what is NOT working for you.....Hmmmmm&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, Congratulations I say to myself! Now you've given birth to another part of you that may have laid dormant for years un-manifested for years....the question is ....What will YOU do with all this new found information?!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Waking up to this fact can be painful – too painful sometimes&lt;i&gt;.....&lt;/i&gt;this is when you would dive into the cookie jar and remember cravings that you thought were long gone!...BE Careful!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I will be forever grateful that my stuff is now in the light and has come up for me to deal with, and to be honest its well overdue!!...No more excuses! I've had to climb a huge mountain in terms of my own health over that last two years; and now that I FEEL better I can DO better!&lt;br /&gt;Consuming raw for me feels like such a pleasure, it makes my heart sing and my blood tango!...it makes me feel good....and makes me want to do GOOD!... :-)&lt;br /&gt;Even my boyfriend is turned on to raw now! He loves my green juices and nut-mylks and his superfood smoothie...on the same vybe!...I love it! He is reaping the benefits of increasing raw into his diet. No more afternoon slug-time....No more dead beat tiredness in the evening....better digestion....much more energy!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As for me...well this Juice-Feast was my chance to begin again...as that is ultimately what we do best as Human Beings!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; I seriously cant eat another morsel...lol I can safely say the prunes lived up to their namesake....and I still had an abundance of energy today. &lt;br /&gt;I have good news for you all...Im starting a 10 day Journey to Raw Food Program which I've intrinsically timed to run straight after my juice feast to give me the jumpstart that I so need!&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;I'll have to start a day late as I'm still breaking my feast today, but since its the last day...I'll have a plain salad tonight, and I'll be ready to start in the morning!! I am in the process of trying to  finish off 8 ounces of soaked prunes! I’ve managed to get down about half  of the portion so far, It’s amazing how fast your stomach fills up after 22  days of nothing but liquids! I started with drinking the Juice which was really nice....yum and the prunes are very squidgy but also nice!&lt;br /&gt;I want to give a heartfelt thanks to Angela Stokes for her thorough work in her Juice Feaster's Handbook and Ive adapted David Rain's Feast Breaking Protocol as follows:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you have spent more than 24days, take 6 days to break your feast, spending two days on each section. For less days see David Rain's advice on www.juicefeasting.com&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1) PRUNES &lt;br /&gt;Break your feast with 8oz of organic prunes soaked overnight. This is a very gentle way to 'Jump-start' your digestion of solids again. Drink the soak water first, then eat as many prunes as you like. This is the only solid meal on the first day and a bowel movement will ideally follow after 3-6hours. (If not, use Cascara Sagrada-it is not desirable to leave this food sitting in your colon for too long. as it will begin to putrefy.)&lt;br /&gt;For the second day of this phase, eat 1-2 meals of soaked prunes, preferably earlier in the day. Maintain the same amount of juices you consumed while feasting.&lt;br /&gt;2) JUICY FRUITS&lt;br /&gt;Continue with juices and soaked prunes meals, now adding in juicy fruits too, such as watermelon, berries, mangoes, cherries, tomatoes, cucumbers, oranges etc. Avoid denser fruits at this point, like bananas, avocadoes or durian. Try to have about half the amount of juice you were having whilst feasting-preferably keep drinking the green juices and cut back fruit juices now, as you start to eat fruits instead. Eat the juicy fruits as regular meals.&lt;br /&gt;3) SALADS&lt;br /&gt;The final stage is to begin to add in salads, while still having juices,prunes and juice fruits as suits you. Use tender leafy salad greens,sprouts and very simple dressing such as flax oil and lemon juice-avoid creamy dressing at this point. You can now begin to add in fatty foods like avocados and raw olives.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now is also a good time to begin taking White Oak Bark and Ginger Root Capsules to shrink the colon, aid elimination and repair any prolapses, plus stone-breaker to help the body release any kidney/liver/gallbladder stones. You may also find it beneficial to begin taking the Ayurvedic remedy 'Triphala' now as powder for the next 6 months to a year, which works gently to rebuild peristalsis and tone the colon. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This has been an profound journey. I hadn't really decided how long I was going to feast for, I decided to go with the flow and to let my body tell me when that would be right. However, I had decided to break now  due to several factors. The biggest factor was that my mind and heart was not fully into it anymore, my green juice was increasingly getting harder and harder to get down. I tried changing from Spinach to Kale and introducing more fruit juices, which worked well for a while but amazingly I started to miss my green juice... and ironically once I'd made it...guess what?.....yup i didn't want it!!! lol&lt;br /&gt;So then, the timing was spot on for me. So for the past week I just drank what I could and observed...Finally my body told me that it was time to end it. I realized I also missed crunching and biting food, the juice  was just not cutting it any longer!... &lt;br /&gt;So..... here I am, in this 3 day transition back into the real world. It feels a little strange...The plus side is that I will still be juicing and blending my fruits and vegetables forever more, obviously not the same quantity and when blending I will keep the fiber in.!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you have been JFeasting for less than 24 days, divide the number of days feasted by 4. This is the number of days you will take to break the feast. Then divide that number by 3 to see how many days you will be taking for each phase of the Feast breaking. (E.g. if you have juiced for 12 days, you divide 12 by 4&amp;nbsp; to find that you will break your Feast over 3 days. So, you would take 1 whole day for each step of the Feast-breaking protocol.) So go and celebrate...you deserve it! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Right now I feel immense gratitude to myself for all the love and attention I've allowed myself to accept over the last 3 weeks....I feel happy and very loved. Juice Feasting takes a whole lot of discipline and determination and I whole-heartedly encourage you to GO FOR IT!....its not always easy but the sheer challenge is what kept me going to be honest with you.&lt;br /&gt;As a whole You are ultimatley always in control and will always be respnsable for your life!! JF helps to open your heart chakra so many truths are revealed to you along your journey...there are many uncovered gems that are out there for the taking you just have to raise your vibration level high enough to be able to see them clearly! The cells in the body hold a lot of history about ourselves such as repressed emotions and trapped feelings.&lt;br /&gt;At times I've felt very light and free and at other times I've felt more heavier. as I move deeper and deeper into my cleanse I've felt sadness, anger, frustration and even depression. My advice to you guys is to ensure that you have a good support system around you, also try to indulge in some serious TLC. Bodyscrubs and massage, watch a funny movie, surround yourself with nature. Remember this is all to be expected whilst taking on a JF or any fast of this kind.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This morning I had a dry bodyscrub, Oh! my skin felt so very soft  afterwards, and lets not forget its gr8 for detoxing the skin whilst  doing a cleanse. Then I had a shower switching inbetween hot and cold  water to help the lymph system. This is what David Rain had to say,&lt;br /&gt;"This is a great method for moving blood and lymph, tightening skin and  improving circulation. Like skin brushing, it can seem rather harsh in  the beginning, but if you stick with it, you may start to find the  sensation quite enjoyable. Shower as usual, then alternate the water  temperature between hot and cold, staying with each temperature for five  seconds at first before switching to the other and alternating perhaps  five times between hot and cold in the beginning. You can later build up  both the anount of time you spend on each temperature, and the number  of times you alternate. Ive learnt to be patient and observant with myself. Ive seen and felt the detox working for me. Sometimes more painful than others...I'll explain. I seem to have this wind type of movement that occurs every 3-4 days...very uncomfortable...I feel it in one of two places either along the top of my intestines or in my lower back...so its interesting to know that even after 20 days there are still deeper levels of cleansing to be done.I usually drink fennel and lemon tea or peppermint tea to soothe my intestinal track. My hot water bottle and a lot of TLC!! lol&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tips: Fennel is great with apple and carrot !&amp;nbsp; I love fennel it adds a smooth finish to your juice. Its a great duretic and is good for digestive disorders.&lt;br /&gt;Movement: &lt;br /&gt;I managed an hour of Rodney Yee's Power Yoga. Yoga + A Raw food Diet/Juices =Heaven. My hairdresser is kindly meeting me halfway between her salon and my house.Yayy!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I made a new green juice and I totally fell in love with it. So I made 2 litres of it...heheheheh.&lt;br /&gt;It was Bak Choy/squidge of lemon juice/celery/cucumber/pinch of salt/apple/....you know that feeling when you fall in love with something...well. its official I love Raw Bak Choy....! For breakfast I had cucumber and mint. Once I got home I made some freshly squeezed orange juice and admired my new hair style. Then after lunch I made some more green juice (the loveable bak choy juice) and drank like 2 liters as I was going out in the evening to a friends birthday. It was to be held at a comedy club..so I was definately up for that!! Later on I manged to do some Yoga!!!..although my mind wanted to do Power Yoga, I have to admit I was a little afraid and stayed on the side of caution....but boy did I sweat!...I felt my heart palpitating for the first time in a long while, it felt great!.. whilst I was in each pose it felt right ...my heart sang out today. I honor my body for its strength. My body is amazing and all it wants to do is to be well, and function on an optimal level for me. Ive been going for daily walks for the last month and finally the doctor has told me that I can start to do some light yoga....Yay!! I think thats why Ive been also feeling on edge for a while. Before the bath or shower, massage  your body using a bath brush. The bath or shower to follow will rinse  away the dead cells leaving softer smoother skin. I usually have around 2lbs of leafy greens, one head of celery, cucumbers, parsley, lemon and apple. You may also use carrots/pears/pineapple/oranges,berries,mint,berries nectarines.&lt;br /&gt;Then I prepare the veg and fruit for juicing/blending...washing, chopping, or peeling. I like to include the whole fruit if juicing as the core nutrients are found in the core. For most of my green juice I prefer to use my nut mylk bag and my blender. To start I put 1/2 cup of water into the blender and then I add the chopped celery and blend, and I keep blending more chopped vegetables and or fruit until the blender is full. Leafy greens do not need to be chopped up. Check that your blender does not overheat whilst blending, a decent blender will blend up your fruit and veg quite quickly without overheating. So you will not lose out on the vital enzymes. You will eventually end up with a think pulp. Pour this into a nut mylk bag and squeeze out all the juice held over a big bowl that will catch the juice minus the pulp, which can be used on a compost. Keep going to get up to 4 liters of juice. You will end up with some glorious tasting green vegetable juice; full of vitamins, nutrients and minerals. You may also add greener grass powders or spirulina/kelp or hemp oil. I had a long hot bath and applied a hot pack to my abdomen area.....it helped!....throughout the evening the pain worsened then finally calmed down again....I understand that a lot is going on right now internally for me in terms of healing...so I have to remain patient. If my gut instinct tells me something is wrong or I feel an unfamiliar pain I will seek medical help.&lt;br /&gt;Future mother-in-law (Jackie) came visiting which was nice, we had a very chatty evening.....I felt stronger and suddenly hungry, while I sipped through my green juice they... meaning the boyfriend and  Jackie tucked into Jerk Mock Chicken, Few home made chips and a huge-  huge bowl of salad!! Since my last Juice Feast in 2008, Ive suffered a stream of loss,bereavement and major surgery. BTW that story is for another day...my 1st book!&lt;br /&gt;I've kick started my healing journey with yet another glorius Juice Feast. This one will be far more challenging than the last due to meds from the surgery etc...but I am up for this challenge to BEGIN AGAIN... Ive realised that I really have my work cut out for me this time around in terms of internal healing, physical exercise, and balancing my emotions and moods. Ive taken some time out of work ensure that I can truly focus on myself so that I may be better for others in the near future.&lt;br /&gt;Ultimately I want to share this new chapter in my life with you so that those who have battled similar life challenges are able to feel safe and know that they are not alone and that they do better to feel better!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So what is my challenge?&lt;br /&gt;I will be Juice-Feasting for the next .........days? Ive been feeling highly sensitive  and very quiet. Ive decided to let the storm just rise and go through me  and to see what comes up. Havn't felt like moving about today so I  stayed at home all day. More positive things to note, Im  also noticing that Im awakening each morning well rested.&lt;br /&gt;Today I consumed:&lt;br /&gt;Master cleanse: Warm spring water, cayenne pepper, lemon, raw honey&lt;br /&gt;carrott,apple,ginger,celery,&lt;br /&gt;Water&lt;br /&gt;Spinach,apple,celery,cucumber&lt;br /&gt;Energy levels high all day, felt good throughout the entire day. I do feel more positive in  general, and I seem to be day-dreaming a whole lot. No cravings  today....although i was thinking about food a lot as my niece had been  to Los Angeles and had finally brought me items on my Wholefoods  shopping list! and of course they were items that are not allowed on the  Juice Feast :-(&amp;nbsp; Still only one bowel movement today...am trying to  source some Sagrada Cascara and hemp oil! I had to force myself  out of bed as I'd promised to help my mum with some admin so I wanted to  get a head start on making my juices for the day; so that I could take  them with me.&amp;nbsp; I made 3 juices as i figured I should be home around 5pm  to make another for dinner time. I started the day with some light  stretching which felt extremely good. I still am unable to stretch my  stomach muscles fully, but I feel that I'm getting stronger as each day  passes and now am on the road to recovery!! Looking forward to feeling  much stronger so that I can continue with my yoga and fitness routine  again!!&lt;br /&gt;My energy levels were quite low this afternoon, I really wanted to  lie  down for a bit but I was playing secretary and admin superlady...so  I  just drank some water and reminded myself to take things easy.&lt;br /&gt;I had a bit of a drama on the way home, in my haste to get to the  train station on time; I got on the wrong train which was headed for  central London....dahhh so my journey home took me an extra half hour  than planned...so by the time I got home I was absolutely ravenous! I  tell you I don't think I EVER juiced so fast in my entire life...which  explains why I made that tomato/basil....&lt;br /&gt;Physically I'm still experiencing bloating and the area around my  stitches still gets inflammed towards late afternoon and evening. Plus I  have an internal pain in my right groin area which feels like a pulled  muscle. ( All part of the healing process- I hope)...however I remain  observant.&lt;br /&gt;I crashed on the coach after the last smoothie and watch a nice movie and caught up with my boyfriend.&lt;br /&gt;Today I consumed&lt;br /&gt;Spinach/celery/Apple/cucumber/ginger (my favourite)!!&lt;br /&gt;carrot/spinach&lt;br /&gt;apple/celery/cucumber&lt;br /&gt;tomato basil.... (this was an experiment last night at dinner time, not sure i'll have this again anytime soon!)&lt;br /&gt;Instead I just had Spinach/ apple/ celery&lt;br /&gt;3 glasses of water&lt;br /&gt;My energy levels were quite low this afternoon, I really wanted to  lie down for a bit but I was playing secretary and admin superlady...so I  just drank some water and reminded myself to take things easy.&lt;br /&gt;To be honest I wasn't that hungry at dinner time and I had a headache  and was feeling quite spacey! I awoke early and started  with some light stretching, then prepped a days worth of juice. (4 litres)&lt;br /&gt;I made a video, which I intend to do so every now and again to help keep track of the days events and also so that you all can see what Im making and consuming on a daily basis. (Kale,spinach,carrots,apple,ginger,celery,cucumber).&lt;br /&gt;12.00pm- 1Romaine + 3 Bananas&lt;br /&gt;3.00pm - 2Apples, 1 Beet, 6 strawberry, 1 Cucumber&lt;br /&gt;5 large glasses of water.&lt;br /&gt;I felt very energized after my morning green juice. At lunchtime my  energy levels were pretty much the same. The juice I had at 3.00pm was  so delicious! I highly recommend it!!&lt;br /&gt;Around 7pm I started to feel really weird. I felt as if I had a bad  case of wind, in fact I then realised that I hadn't drank any tea for  the whole day! I felt a strange movement moving through my upper  intestines; that seemed to go no-where. I promptly drank a large cup of  fennel and lemon tea. This pain went on for another 2 hours. I ran a  warm bath and rested for a bit. Eventually it went away. In hindsight it  could have been stress and instant detox effects, who knows..  Interestingly enough Ive not been No2 today!!&lt;br /&gt;Well, I'm glad that whole entire nightmare is over and I do hope that  it does not return! But on a plus note I do feel better other than that. I guess you cant ever predict how your body will respond to the detox effects. I haven't written anything on my blog for a while. ahhh.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To be honest Ive been resting up a lot and taking time out to allow the essence of my creations to manifest. As a flight attendant Im always rushing about; so when Im not flying I frequently take time out to nurture my body. I get massages, sauna's, more yoga and sleep lots; to allow myself to really slow down and re-connect with my spirit. For me its important to be aware of my predominate thoughts and feelings for those dominate thoughts will be manifested in my life. The Juice Feast Ends Here...</title><content type='html'>Oh my gosh its day 30 and Im so glad that Im at home to end this cleanse....&lt;br /&gt;This 30 day journey for me was phenominal!! I dont actually feel that I have been this healthy nutritionally since well, EVER! I'm on top of my game!&lt;br /&gt;~At the beginning of the feast I really didn't think I could do longer than 3 days-let alone 30...and so I feel really pleased and quite smug with myself at this point. Ive consumed nothing but fruit and vegetable juices, coconut water and superfoods for the last 30 days!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ive dropped 10Ilbs- (not as much as I thought I would- but hey) I feel so much better in my clothes. My thoughts are much much clearer, my energy levels are off the charts, and I'm so proud of myself. Really I used to have so many excuses for not getting to work on my health. I had been looking for that extra something to raise my level of health and now Ive found it.&lt;br /&gt;Ive had so much support during the last 30 days; and I want to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you for sharing your love with me. I could not have done this without you!&lt;br /&gt;Ive learned so much more about healing the body, parasites,detoxing,rejeuvinating the body and most of all MYSELF! For me this Juice Feast was about re-jeuvenating/re-alkalising and re-fuelling my body...and thats all been taken care of. it really was a feast of abundance not deprivation!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Over the next 2 months I intend to give back to the community more and I will be updating my web-site with my new-found experiences- so watch that space! (&lt;a href="http://www.newlifejourneys.com/"&gt;www.newlifejourneys.com&lt;/a&gt;).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; I will continue juicing for at least 2 meals a day and will move away from my vegetarian diet and into a healthy raw vegan diet- but this time leaning towards a raw percentage of 70%. Before the juice feast I had been juicing a fair bit and having a cooked vegan dinner and also experimenting with raw-vegan dishes. Now I know its totally sustainable and this diet provides my body with optimal nutrition and gives my body the fuel to live. (oh what a drag)!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I mostly feasted on the supermarket supplies, which I am so fortunate as the hotel is surrounded by chinese restaurants and not much else! I know I am truly blessed! This was my first great experience of China. Plus it was SNOWING....it was beautiful, apparently this was the first time it had snowed in Shanghai for a decade, so i was most privilaged to be here; but then I thought about the global warming and the obvious state of our beautiful world. :(&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After a fout hour kip, I met up with some of the crew and we made post haste to the supermarket for some supplies.....&lt;br /&gt;It was still snowing but the light was so bad, and my camera is a little old unfortunatley the pics make for poor viewing! I will have to invest in a video camera- SOON!&lt;br /&gt;Inside the supermarket whilst my colleagues where looking at the Chinese New Year decorations I made a bee-line for the fresh produce section...he...he...he&lt;br /&gt;Well they did not have an organic section, so i made do with what I had available...and so are you ready??&lt;br /&gt;I bought 4 young thai coconuts&lt;br /&gt;1 Durian&lt;br /&gt;4 Apples&lt;br /&gt;2Pears&lt;br /&gt;1 bag of Kale&lt;br /&gt;1 Packet of Goji berries (they were so Red in color)&lt;br /&gt;Pomegrantes&lt;br /&gt;4 oranges&lt;br /&gt;2 Clementines (a favourite at this time of the year)&lt;br /&gt;4 litres of water&lt;br /&gt;1 head of celery&lt;br /&gt;Royal Jelly&lt;br /&gt;unwaxed lemons&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(now you may be thinking, is she not going to leave the hotel, or isn't that a little extreme? but no, and here's why.....)&lt;br /&gt;The guy at the concierge had told us that many places were closed due to the snowstorms and bad weather. Im so pleased with myself these days- I cant believe im still going after 24 days. I love my new look and my new look loves meeeeeeee. &lt;br /&gt;Ive had a strong urge to re-read a couple of books to strengthen my mind and to help encourage me on my journeys to optimum health.&lt;br /&gt;They are: The sunfood diet success system by David Wolfe, and Spiritual Nutriton by Gabriel Cousens MD.&lt;br /&gt;I wanted to share a paragragh with you from Sunfood diet success;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"One of the greatest values of The Sunfood Diet is that it opens you up to the idea that many of your other deep-seated beliefs may be totally false. Now I have not drank coffee nor eaten potato chips for over 3years, but I have eaten chip shop chips last year! Plus I do really enjoy red wine!! ;)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I find that Im mostly craving (the crunching) action nowadays. Truth is...I really did not feel like getting up at all. This was the first day since starting my feast that I have felt sad. I decided to go with it and explore where the feelings were coming from. It did not take long- so I made the phone call and as soon as the phone call was over- I felt a lot better.&lt;br /&gt;Having said that my morning has been very slow, I feel very anxious about going to work tomorrow. Ive only had 2 days off after an epic trip to madras which got unexpectidly extended. this has thrown me off balance as I had appoinments which I had to cancel and am now playing catch-up!&lt;br /&gt;Ive packed a little, but the anxious feelings are from having to do so much in such little time, and Im not sure what the situation for fruits and veg is going to be in Shanghai! Plus you are not permitted to carry any fruits or veg with you in your lugguage. they have sniffer dogs in the airport -to ensure this!....&lt;br /&gt;I will let you know how this panned out when i return....;)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ginger and lemon tea with honey (I clearly needed some sweetness  this morning)!!&lt;br /&gt;orange/grapefruit/lime&lt;br /&gt;Mineral water +msm&lt;br /&gt;spinach/apple/celery&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My sister told me today that I'm losing weight -mmm felt good! She also has said that she would not mind doing the juice-feast for 3 days.&lt;br /&gt;I still feel great doing this, my body is detoxing at a steady pace; Im noticing that my thoughts are gaining more clarity as each day passes; and my sense of smell has sharpened ten-fold. I actually thought that the weight would drop of me, but like anything else- you have to work at it- meaning I've had to experiment with different types of exercise. Of course the road less travelled is working out for me...I really cant stand aerobics but its really happening at the mo, its encouraging my body to sweat, which is releasing deep embedded toxins within my body and it helps to clear my skin and open up the pores. Im moving parts of my body I did not know existed! I seem to feel forever optimistic and looking fwd to each day. My face has cleared up heaps and I can now see this glowing that others can see in my face! My stomach is flatter and more defined. I'm still working on my thighs though!&lt;br /&gt;My yoga practices are far more intense these days, i seem to fall into the asanes much more easier, although I still to go to a class so that I can learn new postures-its a little difficult with my schedule.... my schedule has changed up somewhat. I'm working a lot more at home now and relaxing more whilst down-route! Each day I'm creating opportunities for my future. I know I'm moving closer to my goals as each day passes.&lt;br /&gt;I would definately recommend this juice feast to anyone, it brings out those self-limiting deep thoughts and patterns held within yourself, especially when combined with a yoga practice. you really see yourself on the large screen; this feast helps to open you up. If you can buy coconuts-buy them&lt;br /&gt;This usually ties me over until I arrive home. Drink as much juice as you can before the trip actually right up until you are about to board the aircraft. I awoke this morning feeling a little jaded, which felt really strange- I'm guessing its jet-lag, or the fact that I missed out on my glass of water last night before bed.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, I went with it and went out for a brisk walk to breathe in some fresh air, and to take some VIT-D,  watered sunshine! (well it is winter here, and only 2 degrees) brhhhhhhhhhhh.&lt;br /&gt;I felt heaps better afterwards and completed my yoga. After yoga I had more juice and went about my day. I've decided to up my intake of mineral water; as my later thoughts on why I felt light-headed was down to not drinking enough mineral water! Hence the heady feelings-this came clear to me during my yoga practice. (more clarity of thought)&lt;br /&gt;I later reflected upon the last week of my juice feast realizing what a great accomplishment this is for me- I feel really proud of myself for not letting my job get in the way of my 30 day challenge!! There was so much choice available that it kept me curios to see how each one would affect my body and moods. I realized that carrots and beetroot perked me up instantly so I would level the energy out by adding more dark greens to my juices. I also kept on taking my supplements as I know that flying depletes the body of so many minerals and nutrients. Water was of upmost importance gievn the climate in s.paulo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My no2's were back with avengance! Never been so happy to see that. ;)&lt;br /&gt;Thought: i could definately keep this up, my body feels renewed and energized. I feel clean and light, at times I could feel my bodies vibration; as if my energy was spiralling upwards  mmmmm this is a good feeling! I experienced this in my Reiki training.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My crew were very interested in my juice-feasting, which was great for the support; and it gave me the opportunity to talk about what I was doing incl all health benefits;  3 of the crew told me they felt inspired to start a detox after this trip. We were delayed leaving the hotel so it meant that we would only get 2hrs on the ground! instead of 4, i was happy with that, I just wanted to get back to Brazil.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Master cleanse juice&lt;br /&gt;Tangerine Juice&lt;br /&gt;Agua de Coco&lt;br /&gt;Greens Powder with mineral water.&lt;br /&gt;Plus supplements.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;got back to the hotel around 19.00hrs went to the supermarket AGAIN and hit the juice bar and went to bed feeling tired but calm knowing how much clearer my skin looked already. No 2's still  not happening! This was a shopping day! the weather was beautiful 28degrees! mmmmmmm&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1L Greens powder with coconut water&lt;br /&gt;more coconut water&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mix-fruits vitamin drink&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;mixed berries with celery and cucumber&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;mineral water&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;peppermint tea/camomile&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ohhh yer found 2 organic stores and organic vegan restaurant less than 2 blocks from the hotel. I love this place. My colleague commented on how my face was glowing, and my thoughts were that i was amazed that i was still standing, just fuelling my body with fruit and vegetable juice!!&lt;br /&gt;My energy levels were high, I was in a great mood. I was babbling away nineteen to the dozen to about 15 sleepy people!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Once at the hotel I ran to the supermarket to stock up! Time check 08.05. This was a huge awakening normally I would be buying fruits to EAT! I have to admit to y'all i was in a state of shock.......I stood there staring at all the fruits that I could not bite into.... so I then checked the chilled section and found AGUA DE COCO  without any added sugars! great i bought 2 cartons, lemons, and more ginger. I then ran to the juice bar and bought 2 litres of freshly blended juice-delicious. Then went for a 3hr nap followed by a dozy 10 lenghts of a very small pool!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Juices;&lt;br /&gt;Strawberry/celery/greens&lt;br /&gt;Coconut water fresh from a green coconut&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;kale/cucumber/apple/greens powder&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In the evening I went out with the crew, in order not to remain unsocial, we went to a bar and I happily drank watermelon juice until they decided they were going out for dinner and then i went for a walk around the vicinity as I had not been to S.paulo for 3 yrs! Ive been called out to operate a flight from Lhr to sao paulo Brazil!  Yeah... I'll just quickly explain to you that I had been planning a trip to brazil in Feb 2008; I was almost not going to go as it seemed impossible to get there for less than £1000.00 (being carnival time). Back in November I kept saying that it would have been excellant if I could go to Brazil before the carnival to go and book the flights and accomodation as it would probably be a lot cheaper!!&lt;br /&gt;Well the universe hooked up all the dots for me! Not only was it one of the best places to send me too, imagine all that fresh fruit in abundance,coconuts, sunshine and the destination of my dream holiday! I am eternally grateful.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I had my horse-bag at the ready!!  it contained:&lt;br /&gt;Green Powder mix with maca,&lt;br /&gt;Cayenne Powder&lt;br /&gt;Honey&lt;br /&gt;Ginger&lt;br /&gt;Spirulina&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My report time was not until 7.40pm so during the day I tanked up on beetroot juice mixed with apple,celery,and a little kale.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I decided that I would master cleanse during the flight, with a greendrink pre take-off and landing. If it got really hard I would drink oj with lots of water. Well it worked like a dream. (without the pasturized oj). I also feel really clean internally. Over the years I've been battling with weight issues and a few health issues that seemed to go nowhere.&lt;br /&gt;I began my true journey to wellness around 5 yrs ago; which included a lot of research, internet searches, courses, holistic therapies, in-between bouts of exercise! you name it- I went there!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Eventually I learned to let go of all things that would not nourish my soul, my body or my mind. Most of my health issues were linked to dairy and wheat products. To further my understanding of all this, I decided to study holistic health and nutrition, amongst many other holistic therapies. This was a huge awakening for me, I truly learned to listen to my body; since graduating I have become 60%raw vegan.&lt;br /&gt;However I still felt that there was something missing. I have a really crazy full-time job which draws a lot of my energy and that is depleting my health. So it was definately crunch time for me!&lt;br /&gt;When I was first introduced to Juice Feasting I thought that this was something that I would struggle with as I travel and am out of the country every week; but as I gave it more thought I realised that my health is much more important to me and I owed it to myself to give it a try. As I introduced my brain to the idea, my body seemed to resonate quite well with the idea. This was definatley the next big step for me in my journey.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, here I am on day 2 of my Juice Feast, and all is well. In fact its quite exciting.
